Description
Harvested in late February 2022, this vintage brings together Shiraz from dryland vineyards in Swartland and Darling, with Viognier from Darling co-fermented alongside Paarl fruit. Cooler Darling sites added elegance, while Swartland contributed depth and structure. Fermented in both oak foudres and stainless steel, the wine matured for 18 months in a mix of French and American oak.
In the glass, it shows an intense ruby hue, with layered aromas of dark red fruit, violets, spice, and a crack of black pepper. The palate is structured and full of character, a classic Rhône-style blend with a South African soul.
