Description
Spice Route Malabar 2015 is a premium Swartland red blend of Shiraz, Mourvèdre, Petite Sirah, and Grenache, sourced from dryland vineyards planted in koffieklip, oakleaf, and granite soils. Hand-harvested and meticulously sorted, each component was vinified separately in open oak fermenters, matured in French oak for 22 months, and bottled unfiltered before aging in bottle for two years.
The result is a layered wine with aromas of violets, plum, cocoa, and spice. The palate delivers dense dark fruit, fine tannins, and freshness, offering great aging potential. Only 12 barrels were produced.
