Juno Chenin Blanc 2021

Something strange and beautiful has been happening in the Swartland. Some call it a revolution, others an evolution. Juno calls it adventure. As a winemaker, she was compelled to make wine in the dryland conditions of the Swartland region. Think hot, unforgiving sun. Little to no rain. Pretty perfect for cultivating Rhône-style varieties, wouldn’t you say? And so that’s exactly what Juno did, knowing the vines would thrive in a similar climate to their origin. The result? A rich, diverse and fruit-forward range of wines that has inspired winemaking as the core ingredient of every bottle.

The grapes were sourced from vineyards in the Coastal region on clay-loam soil. The grapes were picked by hand before sunrise to retain the natural flavour ofthe fruit. Free-run juicewas used forfermentation where afterthe wine wasleft on the leesfortwo months before bottling.

This crisp, aromatic and fruity Chenin Blanc has an abundance of melon, pear and kiwi on the nose. The tantalizingly tropical palate has a refreshing but soft acidity and good length.
