Signature SMASHABLE (translates to very consumer friendly) juicy red berry and raspberry nose with subtle hints of perfume and indigenous spicy fynbos herbs. A berry fruited palate followed by a fresh acidity and balanced tannin structure. This makes for an accessible medium-bodied finish and a versatile food partner. Can be enjoyed at room temperature or slightly chilled.
Produced from some of Fairview’s highest lying vineyards on the Paarl property, Diamant Farm. The Fairview vineyards range in age from 10 - 14 years old, producing some of the best fruit from our farm. The soil is decomposed granite with pockets of schist. The variety is well suited to various viticultural climates and has good drought-resistance capacity for future climate-change challenges.
