Description
Fairview Altesse 2024 is a cool-climate white blend from Darling, shaped by altitude and Atlantic sea breezes. Made from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon sourced from Alexanderfontein and Lanner Hill, the wine balances freshness with subtle depth. The fruit was whole-bunch pressed, with Sauvignon Blanc fermented and aged in stainless steel for vibrancy, while the Sémillon fermented and matured in French oak to add texture.
Pale straw with a green tint, the wine offers aromas of fresh herbs, fig, lime, and citrus. The palate is clean and lively with citrus and nettle notes, balanced acidity, and a soft, rounded mouthfeel. Versatile and food-friendly, Fairview Altesse 2024 pairs beautifully with grilled fish, creamy seafood dishes, asparagus and goat’s cheese, or selections from the Fairview deli. It will continue to develop well over the next 2–3 years.
