Broken Barrel Red TnT 2024 Magnum

Description

Broken Barrel Red TnT 2024 Magnum is a striking expression of the Broken Barrel philosophy, blending Tempranillo (51%), Tannat (35%), and Durif (14%) from selected Coastal Region vineyards grown in decomposed granite and koffieklip soils. Warm days and cool evenings preserve natural acidity and lift, while each component was vinified separately before blending.

After fermentation in open-top tanks, the wines were basket-pressed and matured for 16 months in French and American oak. In the glass, this vintage shows a dense ruby colour with aromas of blackcurrant, mulberry, warm spice, and a hint of smoked oak. The palate is rich and layered with dark fruit, cocoa, and wild herbs, framed by firm but well-integrated tannins and a long, resonant finish.

Presented in magnum format, this wine offers added ageing potential and makes a bold centrepiece for the table. Ideal with flame-grilled steaks, braised short ribs, slow-roasted lamb, aged cheddar, or hearty vegetarian dishes.
