Juno Grenache Noir 2023

R95.00 VAT Inc.

Something Strange And Beautiful Has Been Happening In The South. Some Call It A Revolution, Others An Evolution. Juno Calls It Adventure. As A Winemaker, She Was Compelled To Make Wine In The Dryland Conditions. Think Hot, Unforgiving Sun. Little To No Rain. Pretty Perfect For Cultivating Robust Varieties, Wouldn’t You Say? And So That’s Exactly What Juno Did, Knowing The Vines Would Thrive In A Similar Climate To Their Origin. The Result? A Rich, Diverse And Fruit-Forward Range Of Wines That Has Inspired Winemaking As The Core Ingredient Of Every Bottle.

The Juno Grenache Noir has A light bright red colour with rich and lively red fruit, violets and warm spices on the nose. On the palate it is concentrated with a lovely freshness and a smooth long and lingering finish.

Got it out of interest - and I'm a sucker for both Grenache and the 'Fanakolesque' packaging (or did they actually do it?). Very good value and delivers on the juicy/fruity side, but just a little rough on the mouthfeel compared to that muddy structure that some producers are getting. Feels like it needs a charcuterie board....
