Old School Syrah Is Not A Jam Soup, With Toasted Oak Chips Added For Mocha Flavour. The Wine Is Fermented ‘Old-School’ With Wild Yeast (Partially Whole-Bunch) And Raised In Large Wooden Casks (Or ‘Foudre’ En Francais). An Homage To The Savoury, Wild Yet Elegant Renditions From Paul Boutinot’s Ancestral Lands.
The nose shows prominent notes of black fruit, slight leather, black pepper, red berries and an earthy undertone. The palate has a well-integrated acidity and great structure, whilst developing into a spicier character and ending with well-balanced, ripe tannins.
It’s a great wine on its own and can also be enjoyed with a classic peperoni pizza.
