Leeuwenjacht Red Blend
The grapes were destalked and lightly crushed into stainless steel tanks. Each grape variety and vineyard was fermented separately. After alcoholic fermentation the wines were racked to tanks and barrels for malolactic fermentation followed by maturation in both tanks and barrels prior to blending.
Bright cherry skin in the glass. Cinnamon spice, red currant and cherry aromas on the nose. Medium bodied palate with white pepper and a fresh acidity.
Blend : Shiraz 49% Grenache 25% Mourvèdre 10% Petite Sirah 7% Cinsault 6% Carignan 3%
