False Bay Crystalline Chardonnay 2022

Chardonnay is a varietal which can be made in so many different styles – from the well-known, New World “big and oaky” styles to the elegant, fresh and mineral Chablis. We prefer the latter and, for that reason, we set out to find cool sites with a true sense of place.

A vibrant, fresher and elegant style of Chardonnay. It shows delicate floral and pear notes, dried apricots and a distinct minerality in abundance. With the longer spontaneous fermentation, the wine developed much more complexity and a beautiful length on the palate, without being fatty. Just well balanced with great freshness and texture. Unoaked and understated, but persistent on the finish.
