Description
Fairview Old Vine Project Steen 2024 is made from dryland old bush vines planted in 1962 and 1974, delivering natural balance, depth, and character. The grapes were handpicked early, whole-bunch pressed, and fermented in amphora, older French oak, and stainless steel before spending 10 months on lees.
Pale straw in colour, the wine opens with aromas of pineapple, honeysuckle, stone fruit, and wet river stone. The palate shows yellow plum, subtle lees richness, mineral texture, and a gentle creamy finish. Elegant and expressive, this beautifully crafted Steen is a rewarding choice now and over the next few years.
